Hi, I am Jaeyeon (Kate) Kim 👋

Every Design is a new adventure, and I’m here for it all.
I was born and raised in South Korea, until I went to high school in Minnesota, colleges in both NYC and St. Louis. With my background in Communication design from WashU and minors in HCI and Psychology, I naturally think through visualizing and image making.
While in WashU, I have interned at Citrus Design to design remote control UI for a massage chair, at Skandalaris to assist in website building and branding for startups, and at CIPE for everything related to design.
My design journey...
My first design journey started in high school when I first got to design a T-shirt 👕 for the Winter Family Weekend. As a newbie to design, all the design softwares felt crazy, but that first experience sparked something in me.
After diving into design at Parsons and later transferring to WashU, my passion for design only grew stronger.
I love creating aesthetics that pop with vibrant colors. I'm not afraid to experiment and make countless iterations and I believe my biggest strengths are my resilience and passion for design, which keep me moving forward.
